26th January

Tonight’s session will include 2 options

  1. Structured speed session for those who want to or
  2. A run / walk session for those hoping to improve their stamina

Please note, that in order to improve your general fitness and stamina and reduce the associated health risks of inactivity the UK Government guidelines* recommend 30minutes MODERATE exercise at least 5 times a week.

  • Moderate means anything that gets you slightly out of breath and raises the pulse
  • Some experts say this need not be 30mins continuous exercise but added up during the day, minimum of 10mins at a time.
  • A brisk walk, will suffice, but remember it has to get you slightly out of breath for 30mins, so make it purposeful

Once a week will not get you fitter, or significantly help weightloss if that is your goal, unless combined with other activities. Not necessarily running.

About Pete

I am a Personal Trainer working in the Letchworth, Baldock, Hitchin, Stotfold and Biggleswade area who has been running for 4 years. I strongly believe that everyone can run, but many of us don't know how to start. Running Clubs, like any other new experience can be daunting so I am dedicated to making everyone feel welcome, regardless of ability.
