JANE MARSHALL
Once again I am running the Standalone 10K (Letchworth) on behalf of World Without TB. This year I am joined by my son Tim, my sister Sally and two friends, Sean Lawson and Linda Bryant. The race is taking place on Sunday 3rd October.
Tuberculosis is a communicable disease that kills two million people each year. The commonest cause of death in HIV infected persons is tuberculosis. World Without TB aims to achieve a reduction in tuberculosis treatment duration, currently 9 months, through clinical trials of currently used drugs thus improving compliance from both patients and treatment services, particularly in emerging countries. I have been a trustee for World Without TB since its conception approximately 3 years ago and value any support you are able to give. If you wish to access further information about World Without TB please view website.
Good luck to all those Stotfold runners running in the Standalone 10k on Sunday. See you there. Louise Burns
